Is it really $7.5k?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  There’s no surprises, the price includes GST.  There are optional extras you can add on if it feels right to you.  But the base package is a wonderful celebration.

Question 2

Can we add guests?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  You can add up to 8 guests.There is an additional charge of $20 per guest to cover revised ceremony set-up.If you wish to upgrade your platter to be nibbles for everybody there will be an extra charge of $40 per person.I’ll put you in touch with Domaine Thomson to discuss a beverage package that would work best for you.  If you’re looking for a bigger event at Domaine Thomson, you might like the $31k wedding for 47.

How much creative control can we have?

That’s up to you!  Our first conversation will cover going through all of the inclusions as well what’s important to you and how you want your wedding day to feel.  After you’ve confirmed your booking I’ll put you in touch with all vendors (if you want me to) to discuss what you’re after from them.You can choose to let your florist know your colour palette and give them creative freedom… or request something specific.Talk to your hair and makeup artists about what style is right for you.Talk with your photographer about what you want covered, what’s important to you to have captured and anything you’re worried about (do many of us actually LIKE being in front of the camera?)

What are some of the optional extras?

This is not a full complete list (if you have a request let me know, I’m yet to find one I can’t make happen!) but often includes things like:hair & makeup for more people, more bouquets, corsages, flower crowns and/ or buttonholesAn elopement or micro wedding sized wedding cakeA live musicianTransport for you and/ or any guestsAdding videographyA private chef to come to your accommodation and cook for you (do note, this requires accommodation with a full kitchen)

Question 5

Can we extend the two hour exclusive use time slot?

Accepted Answer

No.  If you opt for the 10am to 12 noon timeslot you are welcome to stay on site after 12 noon, but the cellar door will open to other customers.If you choose the 4 - 6pm timeslot, you need to be offsite at 6pm.Your other option is to opt for a full day exclusive use package, however this raises the price significantly.  If you’re interested please ask for details.

Question 6

Are there any dates that are unavailable?

From July - August Domaine Thomson are closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so bookings will only be taken for Wednesdays - Sundays over winter.Over the height of summer (from December 15 - January 15.)the tasting room is incredibly busy.  Wedding bookings won’t be taken for these dates either.

Question 7

How far in advance do we have to book?

Accepted Answer

That depends on a few variables.  If you want to get married on a Saturday in February, allow at least one year - February is the first month to book out for all wedding vendors.If you have flexibility with dates and days of the week, let’s talk.But I’d need a minimum of 6 weeks to put together a package for you.

Do you have suggestions for where we might stay in the area?

Yes! After you’ve booked the Domaine Thomson Elopement Package, let me know what appeals to you - lakeside resort, luxurious B&B, off-grid cabin, hotel, motel - and I’ll happily give you some recommendations.
